This 3-hour live virtual workshop for clinical supervisors meets on 8/21, 10:00am-1:00pm via Zoom and explores ways to guide supervisees in their development as a clinician. We will look at this through the lens of various development stages while addressing the use of self in responding versus reacting, holding space with clients, and maintaining emotional regulation of self. The role of countertransference offers informational value about the supervisee's emotional experiences. We will examine how to focus their attention on the central importance of self-awareness as a way of integrating personal and professional selves, a transformational developmental process. Participants will have the opportunity to work on case examples. Upon receipt of the evaluation you will receive a certificate reflecting 3 CEUs.

Learning objectives:
At the end of the workshop participants will be able to:
  1. Describe various developmental stages that supervisees go through
  2. Explain and demonstrate the use of self to supervisees
  3. Apply the use of countertransference in supervision
